Fallow

Fallow

*(of farmland) ploughed and harrowed but left for a period without being sown in order to restore its fertility or to avoid surplus production.

Return of the Eye

And so after a longer than expected (and completely unexpected) fallow period, it seems we (the Roving Eye brigade) are back in the proverbial saddle, not that we have horse, or even a donkey for that matter. Anyway… Let us to see how it all pans out. (My) First job is to fix the website/s, and then maybe “organise” another exhibition possibly with some new members to help broaden and strengthen the visual delight. Anything further ahead than that is still a total mystery, which of course is as it should be.

Thank you

George Norris

George Norris spent much of his early life trawling the streets and tenfoots of Hull with his horse looking for scrap metal; It is from this tough background (the sometimes bleak neighbourhoods, the people the exceptional memorable characters) that George formulated his photojournalistic approach to his art. Photographs which (without any narcissism) show where Hull has been, their aim to keep the fading memories fresh in the hope of informing and delighting new generations of our shared history. – RE remix from an original article by Ian Farrow
