Phill Clarkson

Phill Clarkson

Phill Clarkson was told by his art teacher to consider a future in abstraction or photography; he ignored this advice and chose a career in sales instead. Many years and many motorway miles later Phill borrowed a friends camera and was instantly hooked, for life. Sales is now nothing but a distant memory, he sees in pictures.

George Norris

George Norris

George Norris spent much of his early life trawling the streets and tenfoots of Hull with his horse looking for scrap metal; It is from this tough background (the sometimes bleak neighbourhoods, the people the exceptional memorable characters) that George formulated his photojournalistic approach to his art. Photographs which (without any narcissism) show where Hull has been, their aim to keep the fading memories fresh in the hope of informing and delighting new generations of our shared history. – RE remix from an original article by Ian Farrow
